A rich cultural programme held throughout the day. Carriages with horses, music, theatre, Baroque fireworks. The main programme starts at 5:00pm on the Žďár Hill and on Bolfánek.
The town of Chudenice is situated between the hills of the Kdyňsko-Chudenické Highlands with numerous protected natural wonders including the American Garden, a national natural monument. In Chudenice, tourists are attracted by the Parish Church of St John the Baptist, which was founded in the 12th century and where the chronicler of Charles IV, Přibík Pulkava of Radenín, was buried in 1380, as well as the Old Castle, originally a Gothic fortress in the centre of the town, which has been rebuilt several times. Currently, there is a castle exhibition and the Museum of Josef Dobrovský situated inside the Castle, where it is possible to view several displays from the Chudenice region and the historic interior with its original furniture. Above the village, there is the complex of Žďár with the Bath Castle, the observation tower Bolfánek with a tourist inn, the American Garden and the picturesque Kvapil’s Lakes, where the libretto for Dvořák's Rusalka was composed. The cultural, historical and natural potential of this place is associated with the legacy of the noble house of Czernin from Chudenice.
